Helping People Live Life to the Fullest

We believe in compassionate care based on dignity, choice, and creating a home where people can keep growing, connecting, and living life to the fullest.

Our Compassionate Care Philosophy

At Cathedral View, life is full of moments that matter. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find a warm, vibrant community where residents, families and friends connect every day.

We create a place where people feel valued as well as cared for, supported to live with dignity, choice and joy. From the first hello to every shared smile, Cathedral View is a home where everyone belongs.

A Word From Our Owner

“Everyone deserves dignity and choice. We create an environment where people can keep growing and live life to their fullest.”

Mrs Elaine Sharp RGN

Care That Puts People First

We provide residential care, nursing care, and dementia support, always shaped around the individual. Whether someone needs day-to-day support, clinical nursing, or more specialist care, we take time to understand what matters to them, so their routine, preferences and independence are respected.

For families, that means reassurance too: open conversations, honest updates, and a team you can trust.

Compassion

We treat every resident with kindness and patience, taking time to listen, understand, and respond with genuine warmth every day.

Transparency

We keep families informed with clear, honest updates, and we welcome questions, so everyone feels included, reassured, and respected.

Trust

We do what we say we will, delivering consistent care with familiar faces, reliable routines, and thoughtful attention to detail.

Community

We create a friendly, social home where residents, families and staff connect naturally through shared moments, laughter, and daily life.

Responsibility

We act with integrity and care, making safe decisions, owning our actions, and always putting residents’ wellbeing first.

Excellence

We constantly strive for the highest standards in care and comfort, continually improving through training, good practice, and clinical support.

Clinical Reassurance, Delivered With Compassion

Behind the homely feel is a highly capable team and strong clinical support:

  • A registered nurse 24/7 in our Nursing Home, a Trained Officer 24/7 in the Residential Home who are supported by District Nurses daily
  • Specialist experience including dementia, stroke care and end-of-life care
  • A weekly GP ward round and close relationships with wider professionals such as Dieticians and SALT
  • Ongoing training and checks, including audits and clinical governance, to keep standards high and consistent

Connection, Routine & Events

Days at Cathedral View feel calm, familiar and flexible, shaped around each resident’s pace.

From morning handovers and personal care at preferred times to shared breakfasts, there’s a reassuring rhythm to the day.

Tea trolleys, music, meaningful 1–1 time and a varied programme of activities, crafts, baking, gentle exercise, visitors and entertainers, help everyone stay connected to what they enjoy, in ways that feel comfortable.

Dinners That
Feel Like Home

Mealtimes are a daily highlight.

Our kitchen uses local produce to create homemade meals, along with comforting puddings and cakes. It’s food that supports good nutrition while still feeling familiar, sociable and full of warmth.

A Team That Feels Like Family

At Cathedral View, our team is the heart of the home, familiar faces who bring kindness, consistency and calm every day. We work closely together and keep families informed, always putting dignity, comfort and respect first.
